Formerly Global President at ManpowerGroup, David lead the way in globalising the recruitment and staffing industry during the 1990s and established the concept of higher-value services in the sector. He joined Manpower Inc. in 1992 (having worked as a consultant in the company for 3 years) and retired from ManpowerGroup in 2013 to revert to his family consulting firm.
David held multiple global leadership roles at Manpower, including VP International Sales and SVP Value Added Services, before becoming Chairman and CEO of Consulting Services, and ultimately President of the company.
A world-renowned expert on labour market trends, David has widespread experience of helping countries develop their economic and labour market strategies. In 2011, he became Vice-President of Ciett, the international confederation of private employment agencies. He has in depth experience of developing corporate and international affairs, and as such has been called to advise the governments of China, Mexico, Vietnam, Serbia and Singapore, as well as the US Department of State, the European Union and the cities of Shanghai, Tianjin, Dalian and El Paso/Juarez regarding skills, talent, employment, social policy and economic development.
David serves as Vice-President of the China International Council for Promotion of Multinational Corporations (CICPMC). He is also an advisory board member for the International Organisation for Migration, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), a young entrepreneurs foundation in the US (PNB-NAPEO), and the Arab International Women’s Forum. He is also a regular speaker at high profile events including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the OECD, the UN, the UK Parliament and House of Lords Select Committees, and various international business schools. He regularly appears in national and global media such as the BBC, CNBC and CNN.
